An easy fix for broken Ethernet and phone plugs.

June 12, 2010 | by techlineinfo.com

The lock of Ethernet and phone plugs break on repeated use. It is not worth to throw the cable and buy a new one. Crimping RJ 11 and RJ 45 connectors may not be a viable solution to all. Now here a wonderful fix from Instuctables.com to repair the faulty Ethernet plugs with two plastic cable ties.

The technique is quiet inexpensive and effective. Appropriate sized cables tie (Head width 4.33 mm) to be trimmed with a sharp knife to fit the head on the Ethernet jack. Use another tie too fasten the trimmed tie with the Ethernet cable.

I have tried this technique with the broken RJ 11 plugs of telephone cables also. It’s working perfectly. Try this fix and post your comments.
