Now Siri can control a Car

November 28, 2011 | by techlineinfo.com

A  simple but intelligent  hack by Brandon Fiquett helps you to control your car via Siri iPhone application. Fiquett developed a new plugin based on Siri Proxy Server (Developed by plamony). Siri Proxy Server is a proxy server for Apple’s Siri "assistant." which allows for the creation of custom plugins for different actions. This can allow developers to easily add functionality to Siri. Here Fiquet’s Siri Proxy plugin interacts with a custom PHP script runs on his own web server permits him to send commands to his car which is installed with Viper SmartStart Module.

Viper SmartStart is a vehicle security and remote start system that works with your Smartphone.  With SmartStart, you can use your smartphone to pre-warm your cars cabin in the winter, pre-cool it in the summer, lock and unlock your doors, arm and disarm your vehicles security system, open your trunk, and even find your car in a parking lot, all using your Smart Phone. SmartStart is available for iPhone, Blackberry and Android. Presently this system is available in US and Canada only.

Through this you can perform the tasks like "Vehicle Arm", "Vehicle Disarm", "Vehicle Start", "Vehicle Stop", "Vehicle Pop Trunk",  "Vehicle Panic", "Start my car", "Lock my car", "Pop my trunk", etc…
