Remember the following
- A genuine IMEI number can only be implanted at authorized GII service centers as per Govt approved processes recognized by COAI & MSAI. If it is done at any other unauthorized source it will not be valid.
- You need to carry ID proof. (Ex: Voter ID Card, Drivers Licenses, etc). Your photograph will be captured at the authorized GII service center, at no extra cost, apart from Rs. 199/-
- You can carry as many handsets if you like to the center . If you are bringing in multiple handsets it is advisable that you come in person with valid ID proof.

is not nominal for everyone who uses china mobile. Also,
the last day for submission would be extended from month end to at least 10th of dec.2009.
Millions of Indians using china handsets and GII should think twice for them also.
Everybody will not afford Rs.199 but have to pay the charges for authorization.
I know everybody will not agree with my statements.

The IMEI number is not for SIM. It is for the handset. you have to pay Rs 199/- for each handset. If your handset is with dual SIM with simultaneous operation facility then you must pay for two IMEI numbers. It is depending upon your handset

there are only two dealers in kashmir valley to register IMEI for chinese mobiles. the people here r suffring due to d delay of a valid imei for their chines cell phones. so i too want the dealership for the siad system.

The program has been officially closed. Don’t be trapped into the fake implanting agencies or any website to do this because it is against the law and the fake numbers can be detected very easily. A lot of people like you are facing this problem and let’s hope that Govt will look into the mater to re-open the GII program.
