Features:-

1.       Light Weight

When it comes to measuring the thinness and weight, Sony VAIO Z214GX competes with Apple Macbook Air 13-inch and Samsung Series 9. The solid yet sophisticated exterior is made up of carbon fiber and the interior is of aluminum frame measuring only 0.56 inches in thickness as compared to Samsung 9 series (measuring 0.62 to 0.64 inches) and Apple Air 13-inch (measuring 0.76 inches). Weighing only 2.5 pounds, the Z214GX is considered to be the lightest in weight with 13-inch ultraportable and on excluding the second battery, it becomes even thinner and light in weight.

2.       Battery

Z214GX includes an extended 49WH battery slice unlike its competitors. This battery slice snaps over the basic one and covers the base of the laptop. Even with the battery slice attached to the laptop, it weighs only 4.3 pounds thus making it very easy to carry around.

3.       Graphical Resolution, keyboard and click pad

Having a 1600×900 resolution, Sony VAIO Z214GX possess an impressive 13.1 inch wide screen thus making every graphic and color very peculiar in texture. Keyboard keys are island-style and are not very deeply embedded. Click Pad is half the size of the click pads of other laptop models like those of Apple Mac Book or Samsung Series 9 which might be a bit problematic for many users because mouse click leaves a great amount of pressure on the finger so if the space of the click pad is short then the finger would feel tired after a few clicks.

4.       Connectivity Ports

Sony laptops are always known for having a great number of ports and Z214GX is no exception. Despite of its thin profile, it includes a VGA, a USB 3.0 port and a standard size Ethernet port as well. Moreover, it also consists of a USB 2.0 port with sleep and charge functionality and a standard HDMI port as well to setup a dual monitor. You can also add both VGA ports if you want to set up a four-monitor setup. On the front size, the SD and memory stick slots are located.

5.       Speakers and Sound Quality

The in-built speakers installed in Sony VAIO Z214GX are not that powerful and lack bass and overall powerful feel to them. You will have to own a pair of headphones with bass quality in order to enjoy the full boost music volume. Moreover, Z214GX does not support dual SSDs and 3G modems unlike its earlier version of Sony VAIO VPC-Z1390X.

6.        The ultra light Docking Station

Sony VAIO Z214GX possesses a unique and powerful yet light peak docking station. It includes a Blu-ray Drive, graphic cards, 2 USB 2.0 Ports, one USB 3.0 port, HDMI, VGA and standard Ethernet ports thus giving you a high transfer speed.
