BBC is planning to provide a Vuvuzela clean coverage of FIFA Worldcup 2010 in response to the raising complaints.  Majority of the spectators across the world are not in favor of this annoying noise.

You are also annoyed with this buzzing noise?  Try to adjust the graphical equalizer of TV/ audio system to suppress the frequency of Vuvuzela which coming in the range of 300 Hz. Go to the sound settings of your TV/Audio system and reduce the 300 Hz frequency to a comfortable level. If  there is no 300 Hz band in your TV, then adjust the 200 HZ or 400 Hz band accordingly.

The technique is quiet inexpensive and effective. Appropriate sized cables tie (Head width 4.33 mm) to be trimmed with a sharp knife to fit the head on the Ethernet jack. Use another tie too fasten the trimmed tie with the Ethernet cable.

Excessive use of system resources: The minimum specified memory requirement for Windows 7 is 1 GB RAM for 32 bit and 2GB for 64 bit. The processor speed must be 1 GHz or greater. Remember this is minimum requirement. If you operate multiple programs a  1 GB RAM will not be sufficient for smooth operations.  The browsers like Firefox itself using around 200 MB on active browsing. If you have less system resources, remove the unwanted programs from startup and kill the idle processes through task manager

Registry issues: Another root cause of freezing problem is related with registry. Hardware problems: Faults in the addon hardware like TV Tuner card, USB Hub, External hard drive, Modems etc. It has been noticed that the unused – incompatible hardware devices plugged into the system can crash the system. Remove such devices.

Updates: Microsoft releases regular updates to fix the OS related and security problems, hence it is always significant to update your system with latest patches.

With Gmail filters you can effectively control the flow of incoming messages, using the combination of keywords, sender/recipients e mail id etc you can automatically label, archive, delete, star or forward mails to keep it out of even from your Spam folder.

How to block a sender

1.  Click on the link “create a filter” near the search bar of your Gmail.

2.     In the next window you can define your filter rules, e mail id of sender, recipients, Subject, Keywords etc. If you want to block e mail from multiple senders separate the e mail ids with “|” (Shift+back slash) i.e abc@example.com|xyz@example.com. If you want to block the email from an entire domain enter the site address in the “from” field. Click Next.

3.      Choose the action to be followed on messages that match the criteria you specified. You can Archive, Mark it as read, Star, Apply a label, forward to an e mail id, Delete, or skip from Spam.

If you select the option “delete”  the filtered messages will automatically deleted, it will not even go to Spam folder. Next click “Create filter”.

Remember: This method will not prevent the sender from sending mails, at least you can stay away from reading the mails.

Remove the blogger  banner

1.     Login to your Blogger Dashboard and on “Layout” select ” Edit HTML” as displayed in the figure. (It is highly recommended to backup your template file before editing.

2.     Search for the line ” /* Variable definitions “ in the template file

3.     Insert the following code just before that  as shown

6.    Save the Template and view the changes in your blog.

My Documents

Changing the default location of My document is very easy. Right click on the my documents icon and change the Target to some other drive as per your choice.

Desktop

To change the desktop folder to some other drive some additional utilities / software is required. Download the Microsoft Tweak UI from here . It is a small program gives you access to system settings that are not exposed in the Windows XP default user interface, including mouse settings, Explorer settings, task bar settings, and more. Do the following steps for changing the desktop folder to an alternate drive

Make a folder called desktop in desired drive as per your choice

Run the program after installation. A window will be shown like this

Go to My Computer > Special Folders in the left side of the window. Select Desktop from the drop down menu of special folders on right side. Click on ” Change location” button. A warning message will be displayed ignore it click “Yes”. Select the desktop folder of desired location and apply. Now your desktop has been changed to the new location and can save the data on desktop without the fear of OS crash.
